A Left Ventricular Assistive Device (LVAD) is a mechanical pump surgically implanted into your chest to take the place of your heart. It circulates blood to the heart to sustain ones LIFE. Michelle is being kept alive on an LVAD with a Bridge To Transplant. One day you are a successful working woman, mom and wife .. the next day you are fighting for your life. Michelle is "Living With A Broken Heart".

Michelle lives a "new normal" being hooked up to batteries and/or electricity 24/7 to sustain her LIFE. Everyday is a struggle but she is blessed and grateful to her higher power for giving her a second chance at life. Michelle's LVAD is currently keeping her alive until a donor heart becomes available .. THE GIFT OF LIFE.

Heart Melange

Michelle continues to fight everyday for Disability with no victory. Her inability to work along with not being able to get her full social security benefits because of her age has given her even more hardships. Michelle struggles with never ending medical bills, housing and living expenses. She overcomes the stress of these hardships with her artwork.
